Preparing for the Roadtrip

Hey Everyone,

   So this weekend, my father and I have basically spent getting ready for our roadtrip. We are travelling by car to Carleton. Our stops include: Zion National Park, Bryce National Park, Jackson Hole WY, Yellowstone, Mt.Rushmore, Minneapolis, and finally Northfield (where my college is).

   Another thing that happened was that I had my farewell with our family friend Judy Santiago. She was my babysitter up until I was around 13, then she evolved into a more motherly figure. So saying goodbye was pretty difficult since I grew up with her in my life. She was there for the chess tournaments, the times when my dad had to travel, and for everything else.

   A third awesome thing that happened is that I Skyped my friend from Carleton, Madeline Geitz. We talked a lot about random things, including how socially awkward we both are. And cat dresses. And she does the best grumpy cat impression ever (pic below).

   Monday is going to be a busy day because I have to plan food for the trip, buy it, get my medical records, deal with my car, go play some chess, say more goodbyes, have dinner with friends, just to name a few things.
